小xiǎo

(簡體). 小 (xiǎo) is a pictograph of a tiny object, its three short strokes suggesting something small in size, and it has remained unchanged across centuries. As a radical it underpins many characters such as 少 (few) and 尘 (dust), and it continues to convey the concept of diminishment in modern Chinese.
