就jiù

Modern simplified form (簡體). 就 (jiù) remains unchanged from its traditional form, constructed from the semantic radical 亻 (person) plus the phonetic component 京 (capital) to suggest “going to the capital” and thus “to approach” or “to accomplish”. It is now one of the most frequent characters in Chinese, appearing in words like 就业 (employment), 就是 (exactly) and 成就 (achievement).
