拐guǎi

拐 (guǎi) is a simplified character that has the same form as the traditional, consisting of the hand radical 扌 on the left and the phonetic component 𠂉 on the right. The character originally depicted a hand turning or bending something, and it now means to turn, to bend, or to kidnap, as in 拐弯 (guǎi wān, to turn a corner) and 拐卖 (guǎi mài, to kidnap and sell).
